Had a question on the required documents during K3 visa interview. Will my wife need to bring DS-230 or DS-156/DS-3052?

On this page - http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/k_visas.html - it mentions that my spouse will need to bring:

Two completed DS-156, Nonimmigrant Visa Application forms &

Two completed DS-3052 Supplemental Application Forms

On the page for Immigrant Visas Packet IV - http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivpktfour.html - it mentions that we need to bring:

Completed Biographic Form DS-230, Parts 1 & 2

Hence the confusion :)...

Just trying to get these forms ready; I guess I have that itch... as long as I'm occupied doing something related to this whole visa process, I feel there is some progress!! lol!

Shiv,

Perhaps if you used correct terminology rather than jargon it might be more clear. 'Packet 3' is the visa application package and 'packet 4' is the interview notification package. Both will have instructions, and some of the application package instructions may deal with items to be brought to the interview,

Follow all instructions from both packages.

Well there are technically 3 forms, so which do you mean?

She will need DS230 even though K3 is not an immigrant visa?

Well, if I knew that, it would kind of defeat the purpose of my question, wouldn't it?

I'm trying to figure out what forms they WILL be sending my wife so I can download and fill them in accordingly from here and ship them over to her.

Thanks,

/UM

/UM,

Most, if not all, consulates will want DS-230-I. And a few may also want DS-230-II. Even though the K visas are non-immigrant visas.

Haaha! Thank you! My wife's name is Manali, so at our wedding my uncle comes up to us and goes - "Well, if she's Manali, you must be... Ullu?"

I do hope that people around my submit date see a speedy approval from CSC as well. You can't imagine how happy I am after trying to convince myself that I can make it through CSC's advertised long wait-times! Was an awesome surprise :)

Best Wishes to you two as well!
