Obama has now taken his foreign diplomacy spat with Clinton on the campaign trail, firing back against her criticism that his willingness to meet with world dictators is “naïve.” Said Obama this morning during an endorsement speech in Concord, NH: “I’m not afraid of losing the PR war to dictators,” continuing, “I’m not going to hide behind a bunch of rhetoric. I don’t want a continuation with Bush-Cheney. I don’t want Bush-Cheney light. I want a fundamental change.”

...Clinton did not make any pledge to meet with these leaders. "I will promise a very vigorous diplomatic effort because I think it is not that you promise a meeting at that high a level before you know what the intentions are. I don't want to be used for propaganda purposes," she said.

The exchange in the debate marked the sharpest divide between Clinton and Obama, the Democratic front-runners. It was most perilous for Obama because it raised questions about his inexperience in international affairs, an area where polls show voters have the most reservations about Obama, while giving Clinton an opportunity to appear more seasoned.

During the day Tuesday, the Clinton and Obama campaigns issued dueling critical memos while advisers sparred over who appeared more presidential. The candidates each gave interviews to the Quad City Times in Iowa, the state with the crucial lead-off presidential vote, where they escalated the rhetoric.

"I thought that was irresponsible and frankly naive," Clinton told the paper. Obama, she said, gave an answer "I think he is regretting today."

Not enough of a blow to keep him from becoming her running mate, which is what I think is going to happen unless something really stirs up primaries.

I hope not, because that will mean Hillary is the nominee. The Democratic party can do so much better.

I've resigned to the idea that she will be the nominee, barring any shake-up in the primaries. We could have done worse.

Obama shouldn't run as her running mate. He's young, he should wait his turn. He can be President one day on his own.

<Negrodamus Prediction> She'll be assassinated in office and then he'll be president.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton sharply dismissed Thursday a recent suggestion from chief rival Barack Obama that she is “Bush-Cheney light,” telling CNN the comparison is “silly.”

“You know, I have been called a lot of things in my life, but I have never been called George Bush or ####### Cheney certainly,” Clinton told CNN’s John King.

“You know you have to ask whatever has happened to the politics of hope,” Clinton added, in reference to the Illinois Democrat’s familiar campaign theme.
