Proof of on going relationship question

Certainly evidence of a relationship is not required at this step. However, nearly the entire 129F petition is forwarded to the embassy. I sent a lot of evidence of an ongoing relationship with our petition. While it may be irrelavent information for the petition approval, my thinking is that the embassy will be able to easily locate this evidence, possibly prior to the interview, and determine that there is a true relationship.

My goal was to make the job easy for anyone who looks at my petition. If the person working on my case sees it is clear and well put together, they are less likely to look with a wary eye at every little detail. I think it will help the visa officer to have submitted strong evidence of a relationship with the petition before the interview. They will be less doubtful of a real relationship during the interview, and may only ask to see evidence that the relationship has continued since the petition was filed. Again, my hope is to make everything assumptively clear for those working on my case.

The initial petition only requires you show evidence of having been together in person during the past two years. You do this with passport stamps, plane ticket receipts and other written evidence you were in Laos.

Time to get your head around the fact that you'll be proving the ongoing relationship at interview, not at filing. You have plenty of time to have more visits and communication records. Find a phone service that gives a record of the numbers you called and when.
