It must be nice being an island.

Well, yes, unless you have a ruddy great big tunnel crossing under the English Channel. Unfortunately it became quite notorious as a way for illegal immigrants to get into the UK. They used to wait outside the tunnel for the train, hop on (either underneath or on the back of a lorry which was on the train) and have a free trip over. As soon as they arrived in the UK they would be apprehended by Immigration Officials and they would then claim asylum. That way they couldn't be deported until their case was heard - usually 6months to a year later.

Fill the tunnel with water.

That would make it hard to run the trains through there ;)

Those trains full of foul-smelling unskilled furriners? Good riddance.

Chunnel fills with water = my recurring nightmare. Thanks a lot -- I was just headed to bed.

Would it make it worse if the water was full of intestinal parasites?

Alex opened her eyes as wide as possible. Nauseated, she sat down on the couch and tried to think of something -- anything -- other than millions of tiny parasites writhing in the gallons of water pouring into her hypothetical train car. This was going to be a long night.

*pats Alex on the head*

It's just a nightmare.

I feel soothed and reassured. Now where's my teddy bear and glass of milk?

The milk is no good. Parasites.

My shot of gin, then. Plus teddy bear.

No!

That's ok, I'm obviously off to drown somewhere between London and Paris AGAIN. No matter what happens first. You can make it up to me later.

Well, that's pretty retarded given that about 85% of the population of the UK is white and the fact that the majority of Muslims in the UK aren't even Arabic.
