Hi guys..

I have a question about the AOS for the interview..

My hubby received a letter in the mail today saying our case was complete at the NVC and has now been transferred to the embassy in Oz.

Although we have already submitted the AOS reflecting tax years 2004, 2005, 2006, there was a statement on the letter saying that the i-864 Affidavit of Support for the most recent tax year should be available at the interview. It's looking like our interview is going to fall early on in the year but my husband says he won't get his tax return back from 2007 until mid to late February.

What do we do if my interview is in early 2008 but the most recent tax information (from 2007) is not yet available?

Any ideas? Thanks :-)

I'm in a similar situation with my fiance likely to have an interview in early 2007. However, after filing for extensions because of my complicated taxes, I usually don't have them completed until August. What is the Consulate's expectations and how can I satisfy them if I've filed for an extension (paying the estimate) but haven't completed the forms.

5/25/2007 - I-129F sent

6/12/2007 - NOA1

10/31/2007 - NOA2

12/24/2007 - Package 3 Received

12/28/2007 - Package 3 Handed to Consulate

Hey Lucas, I posted the same question under "IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa General Discussion".. Check it out, I got some helpful responses!

Also, i think once the interview date has been given to me, I will probably just double check with the embassy first!
