Hi Everyone,

I've just got approved for my AOS, so the officer told me that I'll be receiving my card in the mail within 2 weeks. My question is: Does anyone know if you could just bring the Green Card (solely) as a proof of identity to the SSA office? or do you need any other documents?

Thanks so much for your replies!

If you are applying for an unrestricted SSN card, all you need is the I-551 card or I-551 stamp along with your unexpired passport.

Once again DO NOT DO NOT let them take your old card until you are issued the new one. Say the dog ate it. LOL

Claudeth's EAD was good enough so I am sure the GC will be just fine.
