no kidding! No one else seems to get that tho - making GIANT waves at work is not an ideal situation....

Especially since Ionescu....well.....let's face it, with her it's always "this skank at work did this"

and "this ####### at work did that".

The problem lies within, methinks.

Have your lawyer give HR a call. That will wake them up!

Best idea yet!

if you want to be hunting a new job. ;)

I don't think the fear or losing a job should outweigh the need to stick up for yourself. Besides, if she files a complaint to HR and has the documentation to back up the complaint and then gets fired because of it she could wind up winning the lottery in our court system. It's worth a shot! American juries do NOT look kindly upon corporations that allow harrasment of employees.

Sorry, but NO job is worth tolerating harassment over.... especially of a threatening nature. I'd rather be making waves than having a family member choosing my casket color. There are plenty of other jobs out there, if it comes to that.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

 Drama much?

When did murder come into it? Gimme a break. We didn't even clarify what the argument was about or the threats!

Also, with 2 kids to feed I'd certainly not rush into making enemies at work, be it the harrasser or management.

Extreme perhaps, I was just making a point. She feels threatened and that's all that matters.

Actually, no. Not until we establish if it was a physical threat or not.

Sorry - go back and read her original post: "she verbally attacked me last week, and threatened me in 3 different ways"

She used the word threatened, not me.

Were they physical threats? We don't know. So until then...

No cop will take a report over this unless it's physical.

Umm.... when did I mention cop? You challenged my agreement about contacting an ATTORNEY.

oh cmon now. if someone brings lawyers, eeoc, osha, dol, or any other agency into the work place & your employers reputation or bank accounts could be affected....count on them finding a legal way to axe you. if you make big waves w/o a very good reason (you've been cut & dry discriminated against or you have been harmed) they will have the last word.

Sorry that was earlier. I was replying to you replying to my 'making giant waves' comment. Cops, lawyers, etc - all waves IMO. If anything, lawyers make bigger waves than filing a police report!

Like I said earlier, if Tara thinks this woman has the ability to act on her threats and they are of physical nature AND HR is not doing anything about it, making waves is the only thing left to do.

It all depends on the gravity of the threats. "I'm going to put your stapler into jello" is a lot different then 'you'd better watch your back when you leave the building'
