I'm getting myself geared-up for the final stage of this long and arduous journey...

So I was just reviewing the recent timeline posting and was pretty horrified to see that Vermont seems to be desperately slow at processing N-400 applications, whereas California is processing in a matter of weeks. Is this really the case??!! I'm rather hoping to vote in the elections next year, so need to know if I should get my application in the mail bang on February 8th (90 days before my 3 year GC anniversary). It took over a year for my initial GC application to be processed, so the thought of having to deal with the (insert expletive here) VSC again is making my stomach churn.

If it really is the case (which I suspect it is) I guess I should also start thinking about the letter I'll be writing to my congressman, again... ho hum...

****

Sorry!!! Just realized I posted to the wrong forum... trying to rectify!

I guess it means we can forget about the elections in 2008, since the N400 is supposed to take 16-18 months...
