Mailing in Documents Question

At the Embassy in Tirana, Albania the Packet 3 consists of a list of documents which must be mailed into the Embassy before they will mail out Packet 4. Packet 3 does not state Proof of an Ongoing Relationship and some other things that I know are normally required for the interview.

My question is as follows:

Do I mail in only the documents that are listed in Packet 3, and bring everything else with me to the interview, or should I go ahead and mail everything into the Embassy straight away (just in case)?

Do everything as directed in the Packet 3 instructions. They will probably let you know in packet 4 what exactly to send in or bring to the interview with you! In general, do as they ask...it will be for your best

Packet 3 should have detailed instructions on what to send first. In the case of the Colombian Embassy, you just send Part I of DS-230 and OF-169 so that they can schedule an interview. The rest of the stuff you take to the interview.

i know that in some embassies it is different, but in tirana it seems like you mail in EVERYTHING...the list includes i-134 and accompanying documents, police certificates, birth certificate, and all the ds forms, so i was just making sure...i will mail in what they ask for, and hope that there were no hidden requirements...thanks for the replies

Hey there, you may have figured everything out by now on this post but I just wanted to let you know what I got in the Packet 3. The instructions said that in order to schedule the interview (in Naples) that I have to send in only DS-230 Part I and Applicant's Statement in order to let them know that I have finished gathering all the documents needed for the interview. And that everything else has to be presented in the interview. Then regarding the proof of relationship. I found that the proof has to be sent in as part of Form DS-156K Nonimmigrant Fiance(e) Visa Application. In any case, it's recommended that you have a copy of everything that the sponser sent in the original application.

thanks very much, i think its a little different for tirana, as they tell us to mail in everything (including i-134, all the ds forms, police certs, etc), but thanks for pointing that out about the ds156k proof of relationship thing
