Hi everybody,

We have not received our NOA1 as of today, Nov 25.

We are starting to get very fustrated. I sent our application to the California Service Center on October 2. The problem was that I did not send it by certified mail, thus I have no confirmation that it was received at the CSC, but I live in California myself and severely doubt that there was a mishap by the USPS.

Nonetheless, I have called USCIS 4 times and spoke to the lower level customer service rep and twice been transferred up to a higher level rep, and all 6 of the people state that the NOA1 can take up to 90days with all the current delays. But here on VJ, I have read that some people are receiving NOA1 much quicker.

Does anybody have any advice with our situation. Do you think an application can get lost in transit between northern and southern california? Are NOA1 really taking up to 90days at this time? Is there any way to contact USCIS and get more information on our "case" when it has not even been logged into the system yet?

Any help is more than appreciated.

Sure no problem we are almost at ninty days and its with California (with no receipt or money order being cashed). I took matters in my own hands yesterday after reading alot of threads here and thinking our government is screwed up and emailed my Representative here in Florida about did he want my vote or not and a bunch of other votes for that matter. We have a lawyer but they say the same thing.....wait for the 90 days. I have read some post where a NOA1 was never received and yet the NOA2 came along in the mail.

Not sure what to tell you here, except the following.....60 days is nothing compared to some here, one person is on five months but I think that is an application gone astray.............five months I would be flipping out with them.

Good Luck and read some post on this issue - helps me sleep sometimes knowing we are not the only ones in this messed up system of trying to get our so here.

cheers

Something similar happened to me. I never received my NOA1. I WAITED 90 DAYS!!!.. on the 91 day, I called USCIS and then they connected me to a supervisor. Apparently they will only do that after the 90 days... so why won't you just say that your 90 days have already passed.

Anyway, when I spoke to the supervisor, she told me that my NOA1 was sent 12 days after they sent it. I sent it on July 18 and they sent the NOA1 on July 26. I never received it!!!... USPS does loose mail!!.. she immediately gave me my number, and I was able to register online and check my status online.

We never recieved a NOA1. Our case was tranfered from the Texas to the California service center and found our receiptnumber on the check after that was cashed. We called a few times to ask for our NOA1 and got promissed twice to recieve it soon. Our I-130 got approved in November and we did recieve our NOA2 but never NOA1. I also had signed up for the emailservice but never got any emails whenever they touched our case neither when it got approved.

Sorry, can't give you any advise in this. Only have experienced that it doesn't mean they don't have your case if you never have recieved the NOA1.

Don't worry about not receiving the NOA1. It means absolutely nothing. As long as you have a copy of the back of the cancelled check you sent in with the petition, you can get your case number off that. We filed in June and never received ours. Only thing you need to make absolutely sure is that you get your NOA2 hard copy. You will need that.

Wow, I remember those days. We applied in June, and didnt get the NOA1 until August. They couldnt even find us until then. The first thing you should look for, is the cancelled check, then get a photocopy of the back and your receipt number will be stamped there (hehe, IF you can even read the dam thing, it was difficult to read ours). They cashed our check about 10-15 days after we mailed in our petition.

Our NOA1 finally showed up in August, after almost 2 months.

Best of luck to you,

David and Nitadyah

i start to worry now. The check haven't been cashed. I am afraid our app be lost .But i don't know how to check if it come to CSC. WE didn't use certified mail.

some one here said that 3 month for NOA1 is too long. It is often for NOA2 to be wait. I am looking for the check to be cashed to know that they got our app, but haven't. So worry!!

some one give me advice that what should i do now to find out where is my app!

Thanks
