Should i tell that i am dual citizen?

I have dual citizenship because i am Italian/Egyptian.

On the question about dual citizenship i answered no because i am resident in Italy.

Would it add complications at the interview to say that i am dual citizen, would i need an egyptian police certificate also?

First please so other members can help you further in your visa process.

If you lived in Egypt between the age of 16 and now then yes, you will need a police certificate from there. I would be honest and state that you have dual citizenship of both Italy and Egypt.

Based on your post, this is lying on the form, which I wouldn't reccomend

Correct, name the VO will have results of Name checks, which will reveal this fact, and if the application does not match what is on the form, they can deny the visa on the grounds of falsification on the form, it is called a finding of Misrepresentation, under 9 FAM 40.63 N10.1

I found out that i only have the egyptian ID, not dual citizenship, so there is no problem anymore.

I also don't need an egyptian police certificate because i never lived there for more than 6 months.
