We've been approved pending this stupid piece of paper, someone give me a word of encouragement! lol. I seriously just want all this to be over :)

Try giving them a call and explain your situation...I did and they were very approachable...worth a shot although you don't have much longer to wait now

I think they basically almost alway take just under the 40 days. My 40 day mark was a monday, and it came the friday before.

Yep. I've never read about someone receiving much before that 40 day mark and only a couple times receiving it a few days after the 40 day mark.

I think i'm going to lose my mind! We did try to explain the situation, but they said since it had been longer than 6 months since we got the last one, he had to reapply and wait the 40 days. I don't see why it takes 40 days to get a stupid piece of paper that says he's done nothing wrong. He's not a criminal but they sure treat him like one! What's that saying "Guilty until proven innocent?" In the US, you can get a police report SAME DAY! And the UK is much smaller than the US.

Well, it probably takes 40 days because of the number of people who apply.

My hubby's took just around 10 days, but based on what I read here, that was some kind of freakish anomoly.

My fiance got his within about 3 weeks. At the rate our petiton is taking to be approved though, it looks like he'll need to apply for a "fresher" one!

Hi,

I just received mine today and took around 35 days to get mine. Anywayz having got it doesn't look like a proper certificate as such. All it says on one paragraph that there is no information held about me in the person record category. Is that I should expect as I have no convictions anyway.

Thanks

Nilz

Yeyyy!! I got online this morning to "Guess what!! I got my police report!! :D" I'm happy now. 33 days it took to get it. Of course, the sms postal people that you have to get to pick it up, are closed on the weekends! Now we're just hoping we can get him here for Thanksgiving!
