Hi, everyone.....I and my husband've been worried about our AOS status, anyone has this kind of experience like us? We were requested for the additonal evidence. Actually, we sent out our package to CIS, chicago on 20 December 2005, and we received NOA of I-485, I-130 and I-765, which the CIS received our package on December 28, 2005. And on first week of Jan. 06, we received one mail from CIS, they requested for one addtional evidence from us and they received our response on Jan. 31, 2006.(It was shown on the online status). But before we sent our adddtional evidence, we received a mail from CIS for biometric appointment, and I did it on Feb. 8, 06(in Oakland, CA); since then I and my husband've still waiting for the EAD approval and AOS appointment. I've heard from a lot of people that now the process of AOS is very fast, and also heard from my two friends that both of them already recieved the AOS appointment.(They mailed the package and received NOA in about the same week as mine) I and my husband're looking forward to seeing that, eveyday we check our mail box and we always see nothing from CIS, we're so disappointed. I did make an appointment through the infopass, the local office said that my case is still at MSC, what I got from my appointment was a temporary work permit, and it's good until May, 06. what should we do, guys? Is there anyone here having this experience like us? How can we follow up? Or should we write something to CIS and ask them about that? Please advise us. Thanks.

I think you should be OK. We filed in October and just got our approval yesterday. So your case is 2 months behind ours (we filed in Chicago and had the interview in Denver - so maybe we are slower than CIS.) And we have seen others file after us and get their approvals before but not by too much (1 or 2months.) You can check but I have heard that most infopass appointments are fruitless. Good Luck

Hi!! Anutka.....I just got the temporary work permit(from local office), because I haven't gotten the EAD approval yet(I think I was supposed to receive it about two week after my biometric appointment); therefore, I made an appointment through infopass and made copies of all NOAs and told the officer on that day that what I received, when I did the biometric; after that officer checked all of my papers, he sent me to another room, and another officer issued me a temporary work permit, which is good until June 06, it took only 15 minutes. But I'm still looking forward to seeing AOS appointment and EAD approval. I don't know where my case is and what's happening to my case. Anyone has the same experience like me!!!!
