Hello,

I just realized i didn't bother to see what kind of check USCIS accepts when I send in my I-129f petition package. Do they accept PERSONAL checks from my bank, because that's what I used, a personal check.

I really freakin hope they accept personal checks. If not, anyone have any ideas on whaty I should do?

Thank you very much

Yes, they accept personal checks.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Are you in the US? If so, it says:

The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must be payable in US currency and

Make check or money order payable to US Department of Homeland Security unless:

You live in Guam and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Treasurer Guam.

If you live in the US Virgin Islands and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin Islands.

If you live outside of the US, Guam, or US virgin Islands, contact the nearest US consulate or embassy for instructions on the method of payment.

If you send us a check, it will be converted into an electronic funds transfer. This means we will copy your check and use the account information on it to electronically debit your account for the amount of the check. The debit from your account will usually take 24 hours, and will be shown on your regular account statement.
