How do I check my case status online?

hey there,

I know this is a stupid question but I really need help! My AOS case was transferred to California in May and I didn't hear from them since. (except that I got my EAD in August)

I tried the uscis website with the receipt number to check if my case has been "touched" but it only says that my case was transferred but nothing else! did I try the wrong website? is there another way to access my case status?

I've had bad luck with my mail lately and I am worried that I might have missed an RFE or a letter from them.

please help!

When you go to the uscis website, on the left hand menu click on case status online, and from there you can create an account:

click on

Create/Edit customer portfolio account

After you create and then access your account you'll be able to see exactly when your case was last updated. If you just type your receipt number on the home page it wont give you any specific dates,
