Incident At EL Pollo Loco

While I was walking back from the soda fountain, this little girl of about 4 embraced me, her arms reaching out to my legs. Jinky and I both looked at each other and laughed out of surprise. Jinky then overheard her parents speaking in Tagalog and introduced herself. It turns out that she was born at 24 weeks old, I think the father said she only weighed a pound. After 3 months in the hospital she finally came home, but she is now legally blind and now 4 years old. The little girl reached out to touch Jinky as she asked Jinky her name. I had a hard time swallowing my food after that. :) In a world where children are told to be cautious with strangers, her way of 'seeing' somebody is to touch them. She touched me in the heart for sure.

Very lovely story but I gotta say you scared the ####### out of me. I thought maybe you found something nasty in your food and El Pollo Loco is one of my all time faves!

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

No problemo! Even thought that incident at wendy's was fake, I still can't eat their chili. LOL, I think thats a good thing though.

I heard that Wendy's bought Baja Fresh? :unsure: I used to really like Baja Fresh, but their menu and taste is not like it used to be.

So true! Same thing happened to Una Mas, they went under new managment and the food got so crappy!

I had the same kind of thought...."incident" is one of those words the government will use to refer to something really bad happening. "An incident?? Uh oh....hope it doesn't get worse, we might have an event!"

I live in Northern California and there are several of them around here. We avoid mexican quite often now because the hubster hates beans and cilantro. He hasn't been too fond of most of the mexican cuisine we have tried.

El Toro and Trabuco. Don't know if there is one down any closer to you. What Rubio's do you go to? If you go to the one at the Laguna Hills Mall, we might end up bumping into each other :P

Taco Bell isn't real Mexican food.....I'm not sure the tacos even qualify as food; I've no idea what that mystery meat is.... :unsure:

LOL...we go to the Laguna Hills Rubio's a lot, and also the one near Costco in Aliso Viejo.

Yeah, Taco Bell is not real food...works more like a colonic.
