AOS Process after K1 - Filing the I-485

Hi everybody!

I was looking through all the stuff for the AOS process. At the moment, we filed the K1, got the NOA1 and are waiting for NOA2. Since I wanted to know what is coming up later I looked at the stuff for the I-485 form. I understand that the filing fee for the I-485 is $1010 including the biometric fee.

Now I am confused what the form "I-485 Supplement A" is for. In the description it says "file along with your I-485" and that the fee is $1000 on top of the $1010 for the I-485.

Does that mean the AOS filing is §2010???

What exactly is the supplement A form for?

Ignore supplement A if you're an ordinary K-1 filing for AOS after marrying within 90 days.

I believe it's for illegals.

Wait a minute....you filed the K-1 already. Did you not pay the $1,010 with that? I thought now that was the fee for all of the K-1 forms of fun through the AOS.

Nah, the K1 is a separate fee of $455. The AOS fee is $1010 for AOS and includes the EAD and AP.

Holy cow (not really the word I was thinking here)........I am so glad we applied and finished all that last year. (walks off shaking her head and still cussing)
