NOA2...now what to expect?

Hello all,

Yes I've read the guides.

We just got our NOA2 on October 8th. I'm just curious what to expect next. How do I get the information after this to fill in our timeline (NVC left date and arrive date etc). Does it go pretty quickly through NVC to the embassy?

Does our case number change now? How do I get this information.

NVC assigns a Department of State case number different than the Department of Homeland Security number that USCIS uses.

Wait about 2-3 weeks after NOA1 and then email or call NVC for case status. If you do call, NVC's automated system will NOT have case status for K-Visas, the K-Visas are there for a short time, so are not in their automated system, you need to talk to an operator.
