Thank you everyone for your kind words. The loss has been hitting home a little more over the last 24 hours now that the reality has set in. I am still so amazed how my husband's strength through all this though. He's pretty much taken charge of funeral arrangements and all the last minute preparations just to keep it out of his mother's hands.

The funeral will be Friday, so basically we are just focusing on that right now. Hard to focus on much else really.

Anyways, I'll keep you all updated. I have been pondering the K3 idea that you guys brought up, just not sure if we will be able to swing it money wise at this point. I'll definetely look into it though:)

Misty, first I wanted to say how sorry I am for you and for your husband... the death of a parent is tragic no matter, how it happened or how old the child.. my husband just lost his mom last month and its been extremely hard for him and Thanksgiving was pretty rough.. and Im so sorry that you have to go through all of this and worry about this process at the same time...

Misa, has a great idea about going with the K-3 and going through Vancouver, then you wont have to worry about this right now...(still dont understand why Montreal requires the I-134, and Vancouver doesnt!)

I wish you the best of luck, and send good thoughts and prayers your way..

My heart is broken for ya'll. I'm sorry.

I am so sorry for you, your husband and his family. That is so tragic. I hope and pray that everyone will heal from this loss.

And I hope that you figure out what to do about the affidavit of support. I can't imagine having to deal with that on top of the loss. Hugs to you!!

8-14-2007 Mailed in husband's I-130 to Consulate in Toronto

8-15-2007 Toronto received I-130

8-27-2007 Toronto called to set up I-130 appointment

8-31-2007 Interview at Consulate Approved

9-25-2007 Received Packet 3 in mail

12-9-2007 Received police record (fingerprint version)

1-18-2008 Sent packet 3 back

2-26-2008 heard back from Montreal via email about our interview date

4-23-2008 Montreal Interview!!! Visa APPROVED!!

5-31-2008 Crossed the border into the US to live! :) (one of the happiest days!!)

Currently residing in NC and loving it!

03/2011 Looking into getting dh US citizenship (and just when I thought we were done with all the paperwork! Ha!

3-25-2011 Check cashed

3-25-2011 NOA

4-16-2011 Fingerprints

Aug/2001: We met, started dating long distance style and lots of weekend sleepovers!!!

May 16/2004: Married, and still doing weekend sleepovers

Mar 13/2006: Sent off I-130

Mar 28/2006: Rec'vd NOA1

July 7/2006: Rec'vd NOA2

Aug 29/2006: Rec'vd IV Bill

Sep 12-2006: Pay IV Bill

Mar 30/2007: Case Completed at NVC

Jul 18/2007: Case left NVC on way to Montreal

Aug 31/2007: Rec'vd 1st interview letter (the one they DIDN'T send me, due to NVC having my address tagged as bad---this one was hubby's that I got 5 weeks late.)

Aug 9/2007 : 1st Interview Date (of course I missed it)

Sep 15/2007: Rec'vd 2nd interview letter

Sep 26/2007: Medical Appt booked

Oct 5/2007: 2nd Interview scheduled in Montreal

Oct 5/2007: Approved!!!!!!!

Oct 11/2007: Recv'd Visa in hand after hearing doorbell ring

Oct 21/2007: Activated visa

Nov 20/2007: Applied for SSN because it wasn't done for me... UGH!!!

Dec 03/2007: Received SSN in mail... YAHOO!

Apr 11/2008: GC finally arrived
