On the forms required for the consulate it asks for the parent's date of birth. On the I129F and G325 it said, "if known" so I left it blank. These forms don't say if known. If you're not sure of the date of birth because there is no birth certificate and it's not on their ID card either since there was no birth certificate. They don't have passports because they've never travelled anywhere where they needed one (you don't need one to travel to ECOWA countries in Africa). So, any advice on then what? Truthfully, I'm concerned that leaving the fields blank on the form could cause a delay. What do you guys think?

Whenever it asked for Andre's father, who he has never even met and no one seems to know much about, I just wrote UNKNOWN in the spot. No one questioned it.

I did the unknown on purpose so they would know I didn't just unintentionally skip over it. All we had on him was his name.

I put UNKNOWN as well for my fiance's parents as they are deceased and he didn't have any of this information. I agree it's better than leaving the space blank.
