When Kristy and I went to the Tampa area around that time last year we stayed at http://www.beachhousesuites.com/ It was really nice, and not very expensive. Be careful, though, it's probably not going to be as warm as you might think. It was only in the 50s and 60s, which was only about 10 degrees warmer than it was here in Michigan.

When did you go? I found rooms for $59/nite at the Beachcomber in St. Pete Beach: http://www.beachcomberstpetebeach.com/

The week before Thanksgiving is when we went. You guys will have a great time, although, like I said, don't get your hopes up for the weather. Pack some sweatshirts. Don't expect to go swimming or lounging by the pool, but you might be lucky. The next week after we got back, the weather there turned for the better.

Thanks for the tips.....at this point, the only thing that will get to us is SNOW, lol, but I am thinking I should've booked an indoor pool hotel, sigh....well, maybe we'll just sit in the hot tub!

In November, it usually isn't in the 50s. In fact, I don't remember it being that cold last year and I lived on St Pete Beach. It got that cold in Jan/Feb, though.

St Pete Beach is okay...but it's hella boring. But then again, I hate Florida period.

I'd say you will be just fine!!!

I took chances too (visited last christmas while K-1 was pending, spent 400$ on a round trip to Chicago) and always worked out great!
