I am reading all your pieces of advice and have noticed that one may send to NVC certified copies of birth and marriage certificates.

And what about the police certificate? Can I send also a certified copy?

Just to have the original with me and take it to the interview later?

Read the instructions for the DS-230 about supporting documents.

Thank you Nutty!

Another question on DS-230. Point 25 namely. I had R (C1/D class) visa -this type of visa is issued to crewmembers who work on cruise ships. Should I indicate that type of visa in my DS-230? 'cause I entered US using that visa but I lived 6 months on a cruise ship not actually in the US.

Point 21a and 21b in Ds-230. It asks who will accompany me to US.

Should I indicate my baby who will travel with me if he is a US citizen?

Yes, list your baby in 21a as he is travelling with you. That section is not related just to immigrants. :)

Let me be clear....You are the beneficiary/applicant who is being sponsored by a spouse?

I would do exactly as it states. Put the entry and exit date of your visit - US location - visa type, the DHS "A" number is you know it.

Do this for every time you entered and exited the US. Make a seperate list if you need more space (refer back to item number on form)

Look at your entry and exit stamps in your passport for accuracy of dates.

one thing came in my mind.........

is it like ...my husband (the agent) will receive DS-230 form with cover letter...

now i will send DS-230 form filled and signed by me to my husband...

then my husband will send DS-230 form( sent by me ) along with the cover sheet ( he gets from NVC) to NVC

am i right?

pls clear my doubt?

-------------------------

Yes, you have it right. Your husband would compile your DS-230 with the coversheet (that has the bar code) and ALSO the CHECK LIST. The check list is for supporting documents that need to sent in along with the DS-230.

Supporting documents:

Certified copy of information page of passport

Certified copy of marriage certificate

Certified copy of birth certificate

Police clearance

Hi everyone,

Just one question regarding certified copies. Does the photocopy of biographic page of passport have to be certified too? I don't think so, since on the official website does not require it to be crtified. Please, anyone who had gone to the interview yet could confirm that information?

Thanks

Virginia
