OK so my cousin lives in the US since 1991,he was 9 years old when him and his family moved to the US.

He got a ten year GC,but after that ran out NEVER got a new one or anything.(Lack of info on his part,he thought he'd get the Citizenship without doing anything).

He is married to a USC and has 2 USC kids.

What's the worst that can happen to him? As I see it he's illegal isn't he?

Can he be deported and banned even though he's got family (wife and kids) in the US?

What steps would he have to take now to make his status legal again?

An Immigration lawyer is out of the question since they efinitley don't have the cash for that, they hardly get by as it is.

His parents do not live in the US anymore, but his sister (USC) does.

Any advice?

Nat

By law he is required to carry a valid card with him as ID at all times, and if he gets asked for it they could give him a hassle until they can verify his status, but that's about it.

He's eligible to apply for citizenship, might as well do that if he wants now.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
