Radio frequencies help burn salt water

I'm wondering how much energy is required to create enough radio frequency to ignite the salt water? I hope this pans out, but I'm leaning towards skepticism until I read what scientists have to say about this.

There is a lot of energy locked up in water. After all, the space shuttle runs on hydrogen and oxygen. If the radio waves needed to break the bonds is even 99% of what the energy the reaction gives out that still makes it worthwile since the fuel is free. We have oceans of it!

Hmm, sounds like another cheap energy from water scam. All he’s doing is separating the hydrogen from the oxygen and then burning the hydrogen. Burning hydrogen means reacting hydrogen with oxygen which results in…water, so you’re back where you started. Unfortunately this process necessarily uses more energy than it produces due to conservation of energy laws. Every once in a while a variation on this scam pops up, but the fact that it’s sea water and he uses radiation waves doesn’t really change the fundamentals.

Unfortunately, people do waste millions on these ideas.

Very true...me thinks this is basically just electrolysis where you are using more energy to liberate the hydrogen than you get from burning the hydrogen. The only way this might possibly be called "free energy" is if we use solar energy to make the electricity to produce the radio waves.

It seems it would be easy to prove or disprove. Measure the current running the device and the thermal energy released.

Yes, that will be the next step I'd assume. If this is not just talk, we should get some word on this in the near future.
