NVC automated/live operator (DS230)

Hi Guys,

I will just want to ask f how you will know if ur DS230 is generated or not. Will the automated operator tell u if they already generated it or not... Or you will know it tru live operator?

Sept 10, 2007 - Send DS230 2 NVC (priority mail, used Jame's Shortcut)

You mean you sent the DS-230 without ever knowing if NVC sent it?

My Husband called the NVC then the live operator said that they will mail it within this week.. So we just send the DS230 tru Priority Mail then most probably our DS230 package will reach in their office before the end of the week...

Then he follow-up again this morning Philippine Time but he cant get tru to the live operator.. only the automated answering machine.. But the automated didnt say anything about generation

We are just wondering if the automated operator will also mention f they generated the form DS230 or not.

I got a "CHECKLIST" packet from them and its the link to the DS230. The letter was generated the day after my AOS and IV Bill was entered in the system. I still have not confirm if it is indeed the DS230. Also, the coversheet is not the same as the one from JSC v2.

It definitely says "CHECKLIST" but not for a request for IV Bill payment, since mine has already been paid and credited to the case.

Yes, it has an included barcode sheet that is addressed to ATTN DR instead of CMR. According to NVC, CMR is where the beneficiary/ agent sends the actual DS230 packet. While, DR is from the petitioner sending the DS230 (OF-230-I).

My theory of this all is that, if DS230 is sent to ATTN DR, it will probably be reviewed a lot quicker than sending it thru CMR. Either or, it's still acceptable.

For most people, not all, the generation of the DS-230 does not appear on the automated system. What I noticed in my case is that the week they said they were going to "mail it soon", was the week they had generated it even though they didn't say they had. When I received it, it had the date of the Monday of that week.

I think you will be ok if you sent it this week.

Thanks for this info.. It relieved me and my husband.. since we keep worrying and he keep calling the NVC we just dont want that DS230 will reach them that they still not generate the form

But we are just praying that it will be ok..

This is a 3-pages packet.

1st page- "Checklist" next to the barcode; above the petitioner's name

2nd page- barcode coversheet; send to NVC ATTN DR

3rd page- Missing Document (OF-230-I)

We are probably talking about the same one. You can send your DS230 with these documents.

According to NVC, whether you use ATTN CMR or DR, it will still be OK. We're good!
