I have an epiphany for you... Read Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. Hehehehe!!!

Just out of curiosity. Why would a person disregard the "official" form from the united states and randomly read some web site for such important information like this?

Of course you are right and should totally disregard the fact that everyone here that interviewed in Manila had the DS-157 stamped. If reading the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide is some random web site, I would totally disregard it too. You should stand by that form and refuse to go to the interview until BPI changes their ways and complies with the instructions you were sent.

Is the Manila embassy website somehow less "official" than the instruction sheet you were sent?

Ask me how many posts Ive seen where someone got put on AR because they didn't follow the instructions to the letter?

Go ahead ask me.

No need. In this case there are 2 sets of instructions. One on the instructions form from packet 4 and one on the "official" website of the Manila embassy. One can be accomplished and one cannot. Ask me which you will find success with. Go ahead ask me.

Oh, oh, I'll ask.... I'll ask... How many?

Ok, I have a task for you. Simply call the USE and ask them for yourself. At least, that is what I have done in the past. Don't worry! Your point is well noted and completely understandable. It is absolutely your utmost responsibility to verify every piece of information that you receive from an unofficial visa immigration website.

My gal went to the bank today to pay the 100 dollars. They refused to stamp paid on the DS156 like the Packet 4 states. In stead they told her to take a DS157 and attach it to the ds156. I told her the packet 4 states it MUST be on the 156. I like to follow the instructions to the letter. I have seen to many people have problems by not doing exactly what they were told to do. I told her to go back to the bank and ask for a manager and bring the packet 4 instructions with her. I told her not to take no for an answer. It says to mark paid on the ds156 so thats what she needs to do.

Ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

the bank gave me ds-157 and validated it after payment.

John really wants to help as many folks as possible. He is a bit sarcastic, but who isn't. I can be, at times, depending on how I interpret what is written and my mood at that time. You may be reading a tad more into what he wrote than what really exists my friend. I do NOT believe his intent was to disrespect or anger you. However, that's just my interpretation.

I explained your options in simple terms and pointed out that only 1 option would be successful. The "ask me" comment was a direct repeat of your earlier "ask me" comment. If it indicated a shoulder chip, then the chip originated with you. I didn't attack you personally, but I see you don't have the same self control.

Just retain your computerized DS-157 form, and just staple the bank validated version. For the 2nd copy, just have it photocopy back-to-back (1-filled out computerized;2-bank validation).

Is the Manila embassy website somehow less "official" than the instruction sheet you were sent?

Hmmmm.....

This must be the "Self Control" and the NON attack you were talking about in your last post. My mistake. I guess I stand corrected. You were just trying to help not be a sarcastic smart a**

Hi! I went to Metrobank a while ago to pay PHP650 for NSO documents verification fee but the in charge told me I need to call NSO first... Anybody who had successful pay this and got the NSO phone no. where I need reference no. for paying the fee at metrobank

My packet 3/ 4 left NVC on Nov. 16. I am still awaiting for my packet & it's been more than a month now...Anybody got info on which courier is used for provincial delivery of the packet? I'd call Fedex/air21 & Delbros and they claimed they don't handle it .I live in Butuan City.

That's why this forum exists, to share the latest info. If your interview isn't prior to Jan 31st you'll be back paying another $31 and that info isn't in the packet yet.
