UK Food, what do you miss most?

What can you just not get your fix of in the US?

I am putting my visa journey on hold for a while, because my partner has got a job he wants to stay here (London) for. But when I thought I was moving, I started to really relish cadburys chocolate, tunnocks tea cakes, good bread, and all the other things i thought i was about to leave behind.

Now that I'm not going for a while, and a little strapped for cash, I thought I might sell UK Food Parcels on ebay, for a small profit. They would come from the uk so there would be no chance that Hershey would have interferred with the chocolate, or sugar in the beans!!

What do you think? Would you buy them? What would you want most? (Bearing in mind that refridgerated / baked goods are probably not possible for my little enterprise)

Thanks in advance,

Poiteen

You just can't get the right potatoes I find. For some reason America has 1 kind of potato (Russett), whereas UK has about 100.

Naan bread we both missed but I have mastered it pretty well!

Luckily we have a decent Indian in town, plus there's Trader Joe's Frozen Garlic and Corriander Naan, which are about the best store bought Naan I've ever had (made in India no less).

I'll have to try Trader Joes....I am not often close to a Traders but I love them! They have a kind of cracker there that I love!

I don't really miss much. I buy from Trader Joe's, or other online food companies that are based here -- way cheaper shipping. Plus, I nip across the border to Canada for Brit stuff too. Search around and you see Brit stuff tucked away. Christmas Tree Shops, TJ Maxx, all those kind of places. I know a while back people were already selling Brit food on Ebay. Personally, I would not be prepared to pay the horrendous shipping charges from the UK, plus the fact most of us have friends or relatives that can do the same job.
