Please tell me what makes the Australian visa process more "thorough" when you don't even have to get married? Please explain exactly what makes the burden of proof more difficult than the onerous process all of us have had to endure.

Why don't you research it..

Number_6 I am not here because I have always wanted to be here. I am here because my wife is from the US.

You're not kidding...

What is your point.. At the time it was easy to move here than AUS; and much cheaper.

Indeed - but its rather clear how you really feel about your adopted home.

I am a resident not a citizen. I pay my taxes. Respect the people and the nation's laws. That is where, legally, the relationship ends.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I have. A few friends have done it, including a 2 people I know who faked the system. I know several people who worked illegally in Oz. It's really not very different now, is it?

They even have a visa classification for same-sex couples.

No ###### sherlock. Unless the government monitored people 24/7 they don't have an way to properly detect immigration fraud.. But I am sure your type are against any form of government policing. Then only to turn around, as u have just done, and say, "I know people who have fooled the system.. nah nah nah nah".

Doing what sort of work? What sort of government services did they use while being illegal?? Bar work waitering.. The problem is probably worse in the UK than AUS.

The one person I am thinking of spefically worked in a professional job in advertising and since she had a baby in Oz - well, I can only assume she benefitted from the healthcare system there.

Like your illegal immigrant friends?

Keep in mind I also have a number of friends who are illegal immigrants currently living in the US.. The only difference is that they are good honest people trying to make a living. They live under the radar but show respect to this nation, it's laws and it's people

Why? Cause liberals are gay?

as an illegal immigrant. Not possible. What did she show as a medicare card?? Now you are talking out of your ###..

No because liberals are dickheads..

There are an estimated 300,000 Australians in the UK, or 1.5% of Australia's population.

There are an estimated 1.3 million Britons in Australia, or 2% of the UK's population.

1.5% vs 2%.....wow!

Come on now.

1% of 1 million is completely different if, for example, comparing to 1.1% of 100 million

She had a visa which she procured by misrepresenting her relationship with her friend (who was gay) in order to get the unmarried partner visa in Oz. Maybe not as thorough a visa procedure as it could be.

It's proportionally the same though (give 0.1%)
