Wish us luck, This Monday is  our AOS interview for my wife.

We have uploaded a preponderance of evidence , IMO anyway.

We're bringing copies of everything we uploaded as well as originals and extra copies of all documents required.

I-94, passpors, Birth certs, marriage cert. NOA notices, etc

In 2026 with the advent of greater scrutiny, I'm wondering if anyone  was asked this year for any documents they already supplied.
You'd think with the ability to upload they would not need or ask for any copies other than to see original of the few specific documents required but you never know.
We are definitely bringing copies of all the evidence that was uploaded but  we're discussing if we need to bring copies of everything that was supplied with the original application.

We did not make any additional copies when we  made her AOS package and I wish I would have.
I intend to get it printed now anyway since better safe than sorry, but many are telling us the copies of the orig filing is not needed.
Some say they kept it on their phone and  during the interview if a document was needed they would ask the officer if they could turn their phone on.
I doubt that's a good idea. Might work with some officers and not with others.

Why risk it?

Anyway, I was just wondering what others did since the new administration has made AOS marriage based interviews basically mandatory.
Anyone here go  through the interview in 2025 or 2026?
I'm wondering too if anyone was asked to supply all the copies of the photos they already submitted

I will post our experience after the interview for those interested

Had friends do their interview last month in Denver - The only docs they were asked to produce that they had already sent copies of were the Certified True Copies of their Marriage Certificate, and the Immigrant's Birth Certificate. They were also asked for the actual passport that the immigrant used to enter the US with and the US Citizen's passport as well. They also asked for any state IDs (driver license/non-driver ID card) from both and as they did with me and Jaycel, the officer put the two driver licenses next to each other and compared the addresses. They did not ask for anything else that was already filed or uploaded prior to the interview. They did ask if they had any other evidence that they hadn't uploaded already and our friends said no, that they had uploaded everything they had. Officer said they thought they had everything they needed but couldn't give them approval at the time as the supervisors have to review it and closed out the interview after about 25 minutes. Our friends got the approval about a week later.

In general, it's better to bring all evidence and not need it than the converse.

A copy of the AOS filing would be helpful for pre-interview review.

See what you can bring that's new since your filing.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I second this.... We brought 2 filers of everything we had submitted just in case. In the end we only needed passports, driver licenses and passports as well but you never know what kind of shenanigans the USCIS computer systems may be doing at any given moment LOL

We uploaded ( and I will bringing copies) of a good deal of  evidence.
New 2025 tax transcript.
Joint utility bills for the 2 months since filing.
Credit card statements  of the accounts we both used for the 2 months

Joint financial statements ( 3 accounts) for the 2 months since filing

About 30 photos of us together doing various things.

I'm bringing copies of everything we sent with the application and everything we uploaded.
And original documents that they may ( probably) want to see

We will organize it in an accordian folder this weekend.

Excellent.

In addition:  It's never too early to think about removing conditions on the green card.  Take every piece of evidence physically coming in that indicates your shared life together, and throw it into a box.  Do the same thing digitally in a computer folder.  By ROC time, you'll have a smorgasbord of evidence to support the filing.

In addition (actually, before anything), shop for a lawyer who can draft wills, medical & financial powers of attorney, and similar estate documents.  These make superlative evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."  Remember that if you move from one U.S. state to another, your wills may need to be redone.
