Hi everyone,

I am trying to understand the breakdown of my USCIS receipt number <Deleted>

Based on what I have read, the standard breakdown is:

  • MSC = National Benefits Center
  • <Deleted>
  • 907 = Computer workday (??)
  • <Deleted>

My confusion is around the "907" — FY2022 only has approximately 260 working days (Oct 1, 2021 to Sep 30, 2022), so 907 clearly cannot represent a workday in the traditional sense.

Does anyone know what the "907" actually represents for MSC cases specifically? Is NBC/lockbox using a different numbering system than other service centers?

For context: my I-485 was filed on September 21, 2022 (EB-2 India, priority date September 9, 2013). The case is now current as of April 2026 and I am actively waiting for final adjudication.

Thanks in advance!

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes. Perfectly normal for lockbox or online apps, but it doesn’t matter anyway so don’t worry about it.
