I checked on the CEAC website. From what I have read on the embassy website, we are supposed to wait for them to reach out to us. You can already start gathering all the documents you’ll need for the interview though!

sorry, seems paris does it differently but most do it the other way and those embassys make u schedule your own appointment

I’m thinking, maybe the NVC just hasn’t entered the case number in their database. I personally can only check my case status if I select “Immigrant Visa”, even though the K1 is a non-immigrant visa.

I used IV. I use "NA" as passport number and "NA" as surname to get the status. After my application was sent to the Consulate, I had to use "NA" for the passport number and the beneficiary's first five letter of their surname as the surname.
