Hi all! My beneficiary is from Pakistan and it is one of the 75 countries that has an immigration pause imposed on them. However, I keep getting mixed responses on whether K-1 visa is also affected as a result of this pause. My question is: for K-1 visa beneficiaries that have gotten an interview date and completed their interview since the pause was imposed, have you been granted a visa? Or were you sent home as a result of this pause with a letter stating that immigration to the U.S. is on hold?

Would appreciate all help/insight on this matter. My fiancé and I are currently looking at interview dates to schedule her interview. Thanks!

Also, I will be submitting my I-34 (declaration of financial support) for my fiancé when she goes to her interview. However, even though I make double the poverty line for my household income, I don't have enough savings to show my financial strength. If I decide to add an affidavit of support from a family member along with my I-34, would that negatively impact my K-1 case?

Would appreciate all help/insight on this matter. My fiancé and I are currently looking at interview dates to schedule her interview. Thanks!

For the I-134, if your income exceeds the requirement, you do not have to provide information about assets (bank accounts, etc.)
