Hello!

I am filing for my N-400 under the 3 year marriage rule.

I am not sure how to decide if I am eligible for the fee reduction.

Do we go off the last filed year taxes? Or what this year should be? Or what?

My income is 58k, salary based.

My husband's income is where we are confused. He quit his retail job in March 2025. He has been self employed since. He is a sole menber LLC. We have not filed taxes for 2025 yet. This is the first year that he has been fulltime self employed. We have a gross amount the business has taken in this year. We're confused on what/how we would report his income for immigration, if at all.

Do we calculate what he pulls each month as a paycheck? Say nothing? Say last year's tax numbers??

I feel like we should be asking a professional about it, but I'm not even sure what professional to ask...? An immigration lawyer ? An accountant??

Appreciate any and all insight!
