Hello all,

Need some clarification - I am asking for someone, US citizen filed I-130 for parent in March 2025 - and estimated time until case decision is 13 months.

However, parent is going through Alzheimer's and might not able to remember much things when the interview comes around.

How long can the parent stay out of their country and stay in the US and can the case be expedited or the case being adjusted while visiting here in the US on a visitor's visa?

Depends on visa they're on and how much time they were given by CBP when entering the US.

You cannot plan adjustment because it would be fraud.
