I read on reddit that a lot of people get refuse after being approved but still it changes to issue later. What that about?

I have just travelled twice befor without any overstay. Hv a good travel history europe included.

all say refused till the CO decides to issue or deny a visa / the status for visa is really issued or denied (refused means
"in limbo during AP"/ and some embassys are  slow to update status so can remain saying refused even after you are notified of the outcome

What about the details i filled in a decade ago? There were some mistakes i might have made. Still got the visa though. Are those details compared now?

Might have made?

Details are important

and giving correct info then can be compared to what you answer now

Whats taking so long? Background checks?

As the interview waiver scheme has now been scrapped it might just be that they’re doing extra checks to see if they call you for an interview.

Out of interest, is your wife a permanent resident of Bahrain?

Waiver is still on for b1 and b2 visas provided we apply from the same country previously applied.

Those r other categories.  B1 and b2 still had a waiver provided u apply with a year or before expiry. U might wanna check on that .

Odd that it doesn't say that then and says 'ALL nonimmigrant'. But in any event it sounds like you applied before the rule change, all I'm saying is that they can still call you for an interview.

You've been approved for an interview waiver based on very basic information, but they then still have to look at your information and decide whether or not to grant you a visa. As part of that they can call you for an interview at any time, or request any documentation they want.
