Went on social security administration site to make an appointment to update the immigration status

Was asked to answer a few questions and it said to wait 10 days after becoming a new citizen to update the status in their system. Is that true to everyone's experience? Should I wait 10 days to update it? Also it is recommended to wait 10 days to apply for an enhanced state ID/DL too? Unsure if it takes them time to update these things.

Yep, it takes time. You should wait 10 days. This is why I applied for passport first and did SSA after.
