Hello Vj family,

Is it normal to receive 2 approval notices for AOS?

I am just being curious to see if anyone ever had the same experience.

My husband's interview was June 3rd and we got an update of the approval on the 4th and we received the letter of approval.

About a week later it changed to approval June 13th. At first we thought it was a glitch in the system. We got his Green Card on the 23rd and the second approval letter on the 24th.

Now we have 2 approval notices first one dated the 4th, second one dated the 13th.

Good luck to everyone else waiting on interview dates and updates.

Also a big thanks to this family for all the help, love, and support you show to all.

Everything here helps people a great deal and it is much appreciated.

This is definitely not the usual course of things...

I wonder what date GC will have.

You'll have to be careful when applying for naturalization. Out of caution, I'd treat later date as the starting point of LPR status for determening when to apply for N-400

Green card was dated June 12.

Thank you

is it normal? No.

Does it happen? Yes.

Haven't gotten one recently but I received emails/updates several times for my EAD several years after I got my Naturalization certificate. And I never got the damn combo card.

Stick with the date on the card. That is the official "residence since" date
