Hi Folks, this thread has been very useful for UK specific medical advice, is there a similar thread available for UK interviews? My interview is on Monday!

Look at the top menu bar. It says Reviews- Embassy. Pick London or UK. (Forgot what it's under). Some people tell their experiences in random threads, but those are all scattered. Hopefully they posted in the official review section as well

In the same menu area if you click POE, then you can pick your arrival airport and read about experiences there.

good to know for the medical but, why does it say bring your appt letter ( i take it meaning interview confirmation letter) but, i thought the embassy won't grant you that until you have had medical and they have received it?

I was wondering this also, as I booked mine via email today and it said that. Do they mean the letter that is referred to as "packet three" perhaps, with the instructions?

hmmm that is a good question. because i always thought embassy won't schedule appt until they have in their hands your medical report but...i dunno so for knightsbridge to say to have confirmation letter that is quite ambiguous

I think they mean confirmation that the embassy has received your petition, not confirmation of an interview.

Immigrant visas like CR1/IR1 get assigned appointments by NVC. They would have an interview letter prior to booking the medical. K visas and DCF filers don't.

We got our case number that was assigned to us today. It's okay if we called up Knightsbridge and scheduled the medical right? My fiancé got an email from them afterwards saying something along the lines of making sure that he has a physical conformation that London has received the case before he has the medical. He booked his medical for Jan. 3rd, will this give us enough time?

Yeah, that sounds okay. Given the results will take 3-4 more days, it's three weeks. Surely the case will be there and logged in before that.

Okay thank you! Is it too early to do the DS-160? Or should I wait until the case is "ready" at the embassy?

Wait until your case is at the embassy so they have a file to match it to.

I booked mine once I saw it was in transit, there was a 2 week wait for the medical anyway.

Fair enough, that works too. I really meant, if you wanted your medical tomorrow but your case wasn't there yet it may cause problems. Two weeks, as you say, isn't an issue.
