If i qualify for a dropbox will i be able to schedule a date for it? Or i have to submit the passport next day itself?

I actually have to travel in a few days so not sure if i should apply now

you will take passport to interview and they keep it (if approved) to put visa inside

Apply for what, and which consulate? If you have to travel internationally then don’t submit your passport until after you return.

I meant can we select a date for dropbox which is through aramex here? Or do i have to go the day they alloted to drop the passport ?

we use aramex in Moroc

passport is delivered to aramex and you get info telling u to pick it up (after interview)

you would not pick the date

This is from qatar. I aint talking about interview.this is if i qualify for a waiver they ask u to send th passport through aramex. So for sending it through aramex can we select a date?

You don't get to select a date, you just send it in as part of your package, via VFS - https://qa.usembassy.gov/visa-interview-waiver/

 

So definitely wait until you return if you are about to travel and need your passport. What kind of visa are you applying for?
