Well, sort of. As said above you'll need a new interview, medical, presumably new police certificates, etc. 

 

But yes, wait for approval and then you'll be a step closer.

I'm pretty sure there will have to be another interview so I'd prepare yourself for that and then be pleasantly surprised if it's waived.

last interview officer first approved and kept passport then when received passport asked for waivers.

 

You are eligible for waiver the grounds of ineligibility.

once my i-601 waiver was approved (over 18months), I was asked to submit a new ds160 (k1 visa) for which I had to pay the fee. Additional docs required were a new police certificate and a new medical. Hope this helps

I am not sure I have seen London do that before
