I-751 Form - New Edition ???????

Hi everybody,

I was on the official website of the USCIS - going thru visa journey and clicked on forms .. and got to the official site !

It clearly says for form I-751 :

(I copied/past from their site)

Edition Date :

07/30/07. Editions other than 02/05/07 are not acceptable,

now when I download the form from the same page it clearly says

at the bottom of the form : rev 07.30.07

pls take a look at the site and can you let me know what they mean ???????????

I cannot even find the form 02/05/07 they are talking about ?

So I am going nuts ????? I guess

I am talking about the original USCIS GOV site

Your suggestions are welcome (since we sent the wrong version the first time I am very careful in preparing it alright for the second time - although nothing yet came back but it will !!!)

Hi, I think that the newer version must be ok, 7/30 was when they started the new fees so probably they updated the form but not all the information in the web site.

This is my understanding too, but I wanted your advice (s) ...............

because they show a form and say one line above something different, I personally think it is a mistake from their site but who knows ! Thanks anyway ....................

I would not have even noticed if I was not extremely careful in picking up the right form this time ... we messed up once it is enough !

I downloaded the form a couple of weeks ago and that was dated 02/05/07 and the expiration date is the same 09/30/08 so I am going to use the new form.

If you are referring to a OMB date, you can continue using the form, it is a date that Office of Management and Budget specifies that suggested changes and auditing by the various departments needs to be completed by, in this case Department of State. OMB date is an internal audit date, not an expiration of the form.

They accept the current 7/30 edition as well as the Feb edition.

July 19, 2007 - used I-751 form, revised date 2006.

August 2, 2007 - package was sent back to me and was asked to use 2/2007.

August 2 , 2007 - checked USCIS site ,downloaded the form with the revised date 7/30-07.

August 3 ,2007 - requested forms by mail. ( just to be ready incase the one i downladed is not accpted.

August 13, 2007 - Forms rcvd with revised date of 7/ 31/ 2007.

This is very clear and this is the form I will use ........ then even added a code bar at the bottom of the form ? first time I see that ! I am so glad I checked again tonite otherwise I had again the previous version .................. It was smart of you to request the latest form via mail (never thought about it), we were going to call them tomorrow to ask them and make the comment that the website was wrong...........

I guess you are ready to send your package back tomorrow then ! Wish good luck on a fast process.

We loose time with them sending us back the package !

Looking at your dates I cannot expect mine back until another 10 days at least .........

I actually used the ones i downloaded with the revised Form 7/30/07 bec. it would take 10 days for them to mail the requested forms...and the day i rcvd the package back i downloaded and sent it back same day..and also thinking that i got it from the site and it was fillable it is okay to use it.

I only requesteded forms online just incase it will be returned back again to me for the third time...

YES, the forms they sent me has barcodes with the revised date of 7/31/07 and right now i am waiitng for notice of action and hoping that they accepted the frm that i downloadd from their site.
