RFE on From 129 - L1A Renewal

Received RFE on From 129 - EB1 Renewal. Meanwhile EAD renewal application is also in progress. Will the EAD renewal stay pending until the RFE is resolved? 
Any updates on how these are processed in recent months with new gov. ?

I think there’s a typo somewhere! EB1 is an immigrant visa so doesn’t need renewing (or an EAD either), and I-129 is for non-immigrant workers. 

 

Can you clarify?
