Does an RFE Reset the Clock?

I received an RFE because, (I think), I failed to include a copy of the extension I filed for my 2006 taxes, (the RFE was not specific, however in reading it the extension was the only thing I had failed to include). I was going to wait and just send in my tax return along with the copy of the extension, but my accountant has just requested more info before he can finalize my return, (we have until Oct 15). Rather than wait any longer, I just went ahead and sent back the RFE with a copy of my extension and an explanation.

My Fiance and her daughter have already had thier biometrics, how soon should we expect our interview to be set? Are we on the bottom of the pile when they get the RFE?

We received the same RFE because my husband filed for an extension. Honestly, we even can not understand what exactly they want. Do they want us to pay taxes and send them the proof (originally we sent them my husband's tax forms prepared by his accountant showing his income and the amount he has to pay to IRS)? Or do they want us to find a joint-sponsor? Anyways, we made an infopass appointment to find out exactly what they want. I'll be gratefull to you if you keep me updated whether USCIS was satisfied with your response to the RFE. Thank you in advance and GOOD LUCK!!!
