VAWA, I-485, I-765.

I applied for VAWA, I-485, I-765 in 2019. Received my C31 EAD in 2022, which is only given to people who VAWA has approved. My C31 EAD expires in 2024, under what category do I need to renew my EAD, C 31 under approved VAWA or C9, since my I-485 is still pending?

It's your choice. However i would file c09 because it is free if you have paid for i-485.

I sent it and put C31 and they requested a fee and THEN i was told that I should have sent c09. Will this create any problems? If I receive C31 ead, will i be able to work still?

i do not think this should be an issue. Off course you can continue work once you will receive c31. Those are all work authorizations just different categories.
