Hi everyone, i am currently on F1 visa. I got married to a GC holder and applied for i765 based on my i485. Now i want to apply for i765 based on my initial F1 OPT. In the form of F1 opt In the "Additional Information" section, there's a field where applicants can provide details about any previously filed Form I-765 applications, including the Receipt Number. Since I have previously filed a Form I-765, should I fill out this section and provide the Receipt Number for my previous application? "what exactly i should put here and the wordings? can you please guide me in this regard please?

It's okay to file for adjustment of status while on a F1 visa however that proves immigration intent so I am skeptical that you can apply for OPT work authorization now.

 

The other way around could have worked but I do not think you will be approved for a work authorization for a non immigrant visa while having an ongoing immigration process.

 

How long ago have you applied for your first work authorization?

Jan 23, 2023 - NOA + 36 months extension

Apr 12, 2023 - 48 months extension letter
