@appleblossom

I did not know that there is a 2+ year wait for an interview in Lagos. Is the 2+ year wait for applications at the NVC that are documentarily qualified and ready to send to the Embassy or is the applications that are at the Lagos embassy and are waiting to get called for an interview?

Could you link some of the threads or places that show the average processing/wait time for a case that arrives at the Lagos embassy?

Thanks.

You can check current times on this page - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/iv-wait-times.html For F2A’s, they’re currently scheduling those DQ’ed in Nov 2022, so well over a 2 year wait. But by the time a visa is available for your wife, that may well have changed (hopefully they’ll have reduced the backlog a bit).

As @Crazy Cat said, your case won’t be sent to the consulate until an interview has been scheduled.
