Though my husband refuses to recognize this as a holiday (there is a story in this that I won't get into here) but today is Eid Al-Ârch or day of enthronement in Morocco. You might want to wish a happy holiday to your Moroccan SOs.

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Timeline

I don't think you would say Eid Mubarak to ordinary Moroccans today, just send greetings to the king.

I was in Morocco one year ago today--one of my husband's friends was invited to the throne day ceremony in Rabat--apparently if you are invited you MUST attend, and you must wear all white.
