Do you have the scar from the vaccine? Maybe your doctor can write it down as it was given? He/she should be able to do the math for the age you would have gotten it.

Did you ask for a titers test and that is when they told you they don't test for Polio?

I'd have to look at the vaccine requirement but it is possible that one may not be age appropriate now.

I don’t have a scar and I’m not even sure I got it all. I’m 48.  I didn’t even think polio vaccines were available anymore, but it’s listed on the CDC site as a required vaccine for immigration to the US.

Ok looks like you should have been given the the dead version OPV as you would have been too young for the live as that ended in '77.  So no scar for you to go by.

They were giving it orally for a while, my older kids got it that way. Much better then the scar I got.

Were you born in Canada? Any chance you called the local health unit? I had to call them and they still had a record for me. They took a bit to find it but it was worth a shot.

It is better to check the website of the doctor you intend to go. They have all vaccine requirements and form.

I was born in Canada. I can try calling the two provinces I was living between.  Thank you!

Oh ok, I was going by the info on the NVC website which links to CDC for vaccine requirements.  And they list polio.

I'd call the one where you were last enrolled in school. Since the schools would have required it too.

From the FAQ pinned at the top of the page it lists these vaccines that are required.

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/734707-cr1ir1-montreal-faq/

What vaccines do I need?

1. Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td/Tdap) (Must have had done in last 10 years)

2. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

3. Varicella (Chicken Pox) (If had Chicken Pox before not needed)

4. Flu Shot (Nov-March only, though Dr. Cheema in Surrey notes that it is needed from October-February)*

*If your medical is in March but your interview is in April, you will still be required to get a flu shot.

This is a bit outdated and needs to be adjusted as now they want Hep A and B to be at least started and Covid Vaccine needs to be completed.

Thank you.  I was trying to follow what’s referenced on the Dept of State website.  So it’s a bit confusing that they refer to different vaccine requirements.

Many of them go by age.

Thank you!  I got my immunity tests back already (super fast) and I show immune for HepA and HepB so I assume I don’t need to do anything for those.  For MMR the only result I got shows as Rubella IgG and as being immune.  So I assume that result covers all of MMR since it’s a combined vaccine?  I guess I only need a tetanus booster and a flu shot, I don’t have the documents for my initial tetanus series but I assume just the recent booster will suffice.

Not sure if it showing just the Rubella or if it means all of it. If you can call and ask. Looks like the tetanus booster and if your interview is before October you won't need the Flu shot.
