How long it will take to get my I 797 Approval notice by mail after approval decision

Hello folks,

 

I've received an approval email from USCIS and they inform me that the approval notice will follow by mail.

Now, it is almost 10 working days (two weeks) and I didn't receive it.

I've talked to USCIS representative and he asked me to wait for another week.

Is it normal??

Yes that's normal especially when you find within that month a holiday

I got that notice in the mail September 5th

 

I applied August 30th receipt notice came August 31st in my email and then it came in the mail September 5th

No no. I got my I-130 approved 10 days ago and I just get really worried with snail mail. My partner / the petitioner received the courtsey approval mail and it said explicity this is not the official copy so we were worried it was sent to our previous lawyer who withdrew their G-28 a few months ago or it went to our current lawyers. It seems like it takes 7 or so odd days to receive the official approval notice. Our current lawyer received it this past weekend.

Is the snail mail notice required for any purpose?

7 to 10 business days I'm assuming it all depends on where you live and how quickly the mail run you can get informed delivery setup Google inform delivery and everything that's coming to your mail you will see it in your email
