Hello to eveyone, I have been lurking here for the last few months, and now finally I am starting the initial phase of my K-1 process. My SO is in Morocco, I am in Florida but I am moving to North Carolina within the next week. We are trying to complete the G325 A on him and in reference to the employment history, he is currently un-employed, and he seems to think that if he does not have an official certificate for an occupation that he does not need to list his mundane jobs that he has held over the years. Any opinions?

You don't need to list any jobs for him unless they were significant, the only important thing is that you have a job or sponsor if necessary to support him here.

I agree with Leila. Abdel had never "officially" worked, so his papers all said unemployed. Of course I'm finding out since he got here that he has a whole lot of experience at different kinds of work where he was able to make a few Dirhams here and there doing "unofficial" work. Nobody said a word about him not having worked before and he got his visa just fine.

Welcome!! :)

You will love this place and will learn so much from all the great ladies that visit...they have been wonderful, informative and compassionate....got to love that :)

As for the employment...it is the petitioner who needs to have an employment and sufficient income to pass the 125% poverty line requirement...you should be fine...Best of luck!!!

Welcome!! Definitely don't file your stuff until you have your new mailing address settled, so many people have had disastrous results when they move. But it sounds like that was your plan anyway :D

Congrats on getting your papers together, and keep us posted!

Wow, thanks so much to all for the nice welcome and help with my question. I wanted to file the K-1 as soon as I got back from Morocco, but after lurking here for awhile I decided it would definately be better to wait till I was at my new home. Thanks again for the info!
